INTENT-BASED MARKETING:

Intent-Based Marketing is Reaching People who are actively looking for products/services. This Generally Happen on Search Engines Like Google, Bing etc.

Let Me Give an Example:

Imagine, A person who Needs a Plumber to repair a tap in My office. Will he go & search for a plumber by roaming streets or search in google?. Definitely, I will search in Google(In My Case).

He will Go & Search For Plumbers Near Me or Plumber in Tokyo. whatEver He Type on Goolge.com is called Search Term. The search Term Represents the Intent of the Person.

Here In this Case his Intent Is to Find the Plumber. His Search Term is "Plumber Near Me". Here SearchTerm Matches Intent. 

It Is Easy To Find In-Market Audience(people who are actively looking for products/services similar to your Business), Just By Appearing Top In Google. If I Advertise For Plumber Services In Google Search I can Find My Potential Customers.

I am Advertising People Based On Their Intent, So it is called Intent-Based Marketing

IDENTITY BASED MARKEITNG:

Identity-Based Marketing is Where Business Owners Go & Find Customers For Their Products/Services. Identity-Based Marketing works based on the Interests, Behaviour, Likes of the people. 

Let's say If you search for Machine Learning In Google/Youtube or Read articles on Any website Related To Machine Learning or Liked Videos Related To Machine Learning Google May Add Machine Learning to your Interests In Your Google Add Account.

If you visit Any website or Going Through Feed-In Google Surely You Will See Ads Related To Machine Learning. 

Identity-Based Marketing is also used to Introduce your New products to your target audience.
